Many thanks EF.  Just bought my set, even though I have the hardback copy already, because it is good to have them handy to read when travelling.  Cheers!

I quite fancy this, but I'd like to print it out as well as have a electronic on on my ipad. I see that printing is disabled. So I'm going to give it a miss.

I know firelock may have concerns about sharing etc, but I think they're missing out by doing this.

Be careful, you cannot print the PDF. So why should I buy it?

Why have it?

Have the latest rulebook with all the clarifications.
Updated rules from questions asked on the net.
New leaders
New units
New factions
Searchable in your PDF app

That's off the top of my head.

A not printable rules set is a discussion already existing with other rules sets.
In my opinion its a stupidity to edit a rules pdf that doesnt allow to print.
I buy pdf rules because i can print them for free and they are cheaper than the book itself so its a pitty but i´ll have to pass on this one.

Interesting thread. I get the feeling some think the rules cost to much.
Would like to say, right off I have no connection with Firelock Games.
Saw their rule book at a game store last month.
It cost $35.00 here in Oregon. Not over priced at all.
I liked the look of it, so picked it up.
I think it is a very good buy.
You get 152 pages of rules.
I think they are very well written and some super photos of their games table.
They also have a great web site that gives excellent support.
Compare them to a set of Osprey rules,
64 pages for around $16.00 to $18.00.
Also about 7 pages of Osprey rules are pictures from their uniform and army books.
Wish they had photos of miniatures instead.
Please don't get me wrong, I have and play a number of their rules sets.
My favorites at this time, The Pikeman's Lament and Lion Rampant.
All three of these rules are a win-win for me.
So if you like pirates, buy it and play a few games.

I don't really think your saving much money printing this out. As stated, our rulebook is $35. With printer paper + PDF price your already at ~$25. Factor in ink, time, binding etc and it's probably more expensive to print it out.

We released the PDF as an affordable way to preview the rules for those interested in the game and for those people who prefer to have their books on their tablets.

My opinion may be slightly biased of course :)

When i stated that its a stupidity to edit a pdf without being abble to print i dont mean to offend no one.
If i buy any rules set i also have to take in account the postage and that means the rules are too expensive to me so i would prefer in pdf and being abble to print for free they become much cheaper.
I´m sure they are a great set of rules and they value the money they cost. Simply its not for me. :?

No offense taken here :)

I did consider this and shared it with the team and we decided to make it printable for personal use. Enjoy!
