Great stuff

I've basically done up the same idea many years ago in plasticard, to fit into some small plastic cases I was given!
One is a paint rack (and not pain track, as I read it first

), holding 15 dropper bottles, a couple of brushes and small tools, has a foam lined compartment for one or two miniatures, a small pallette tray (the lid from some small metal candy container) and a piece of cloth:

I use it to paint whenever I'm traveling for work and have to stay in hotels for days (as the lure of sad hotel bars has worn off long ago

). It's light, fits in my travel bag and so far has never proven an issue when taken through customs and security at train and airport terminals, even with metal miniatures in there.
Here's the thread, with more pictures, I introduced my cases in, way back in 2014 (although they've been in use since a year before that):
KA-LINK!Your design certainly looks nice too. The weight of the MDF/HDF might prevent it from being a true travel case though, and you'd have to create an extra design to hold everything else one might need when painting. Also, I'd be worried about the amount of abuse an MDF/HDF case would be able to take, but to be honest, that's just a feeling...
Still; for those who want something small to hide in a cupboard in the livingroom to prevent having to drag a serving tray full of painting gear down (or up) when they want to get some painting done while the wife watches her favorite show but still wants them near, this might be a great addition
