Bridge on the River Don
« on: 29 August 2017, 08:22:55 PM »
Evening all

Viewers of Twitter and Facebook may have noted that we had a rather smashing day on Lard Island on Saturday when we celebrated the 50th birthday of our great chum, Sidney Roundwood, with a massive game of Chain of Command.

You can find a full report here: http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=6933

But here are a few snaps to whet your appetite.

A jolly day had by all, rounded off with industrial quantities of cooking larger in several local hostelries and purveyors of curried delights.

Hope you enjoy the snaps.

Rich

Nice report, it looked like a good game. I do like pre-game planning and the option to make your own decisions that can impact on the game. We've tried it ourselves with mixed results.

Edit: I should point out that the mixed results were due to some players actively participating and some not.

Wow great looking game Rich
Love the guy driving the car while playing the accordion - was he drunk too?  lol
Refuelling the tanks was a nice touch - hate to think how long that would take in Rl with Soviets ?

Thanks for sharing Rich

What a lovely fun looking game! Great figures...terrain and rules and good friends....surely what is best about our hobby fundamentally?

Now listen to me you benighted muckers. We're going to teach you soldiering. The world's noblest profession. When we're done with you, you'll be able to slaughter your enemies like civilized men.
