So I made a complete u-turn after many years away (In various other ''scenes'') and once again started modern 40k gaming with the release of 8th Edition.

For the last couple of months I made do with what I had, a pre-Heresy Emperor's Children force which survived the various selling purges that I often go though and I even painted up and bought extra bits for it.

Anyway I've been taken enough to actually start collecting a new force, one I had a decade ago but sold on.

Yep you read the title so guess it, Traitor Guard.

So here's the first bits done,

Small update and full Blog Post here: http://oldhammeronabudget.blogspot.co.uk/2017/09/warhammer-40k-17th-traitor-mech-reborn_7.html

As most people know I'm a Treadhead and love seeing my armoured behemoths grinding down the battlefield crushing all before their armoured might.. Ahem, sorry I had a special moment there...

So here's the first Traitor Tank done continuing with the grubby dirty look:

Thunder Siege Tank:

I also finished off some more Traitor Guard/Cultists, again speed painting them as I have far too many of the gits too do.

More Traitor Guard/Cultists:

Fantastic Khorne ogryn! Traitor Guard are such a great concept and appealing looking force. In 8th edition all those lasguns are gonna carry some clout, too. Really looking forward to seeing how this one progresses ;)>

Thanks bud, I have always loved the idea of Traitor Guard since first reading the first Gaunt's Ghosts books around the early 2000's. As mentioned I sold on my first version on this force so it's nice to redo it again with everything I wanted from the first force just updated :)

As for shooting I doubt they'll be any good as they removed Militia Training from this addition so most my force hits on 5's or 6's if moving with a Heavy Weapon :(.

I have to agree, traitor guard in the Ghosts series are a really exciting concept - more so than the actual guard themselves. Astra Militarum be damned - they will always be the Imperial Guard!

Good luck with the project, looks like a goody ;)

GAH! Kill it with fire! Burn the heretics!

Seriously though, those look AWESOME!

That seems to be going around...

Thanks lads, these are good fun so far but feck me I'm used to painting skirmish level forces and these are starting make me wish for a smaller forces hehe ;)

Least with resin bases I'm skipping the horror of basing everything...

Wow almost 2 weeks since I last posted! Sadly my Hobby mojo went and fecked off when I once again lost my job and joined the unwashed masses.

Still I have painted a few bits and built some others so it hasn't all been quite at Castle Chico.
