My boy has his first kill. Wife, who failed to take advantage of the climb rate of the Dr. I, was somewhat perforated and had to crash land, but survived the mission.

The wife survived, with a kill and a promotion for her character.

Dr I can seriously outclimb a Camel. If a German player is patient, this adds up to a heck of an advantage.

Not shot down this time; just wounded, two guns jammed, and then crash-landed at own airfield and broke my neck, having done almost no damage to the Germans.

To be fair to her, how could she possibly improve on that kind of performance?

I agree - you can't really ace downing an ace. On one of my first dogfights I put my Albatros D.V into a power dive and the guns jammed on my attack run and on the second attempt my wings fell off!
