VSF - Colonial desert conflict with a balloon
« on: 23 September 2017, 08:43:05 PM »
Here some pictures of my balloon with German colonial troops in the air and a British "Anti Balloon Tank" on the ground (based on a Steam Tank from Ironclad).

Excellent, and I love that the 'filthy Britisher pigs' weapon to challenge the noble zeppeliners is named a ZAP.  lol

I am wondering a bit about that flying bagel, though.

Indeed, on my facebook site "Dingstownstory" I call the tank a "ZAP with ZAK" = Zeppelin-Abwehrpanzer with Zeppelin-Abwehr-Kanone.

The "flying bagle" is a model from Tobsen (https://shop.tobsen77.com/miniaturen) who has a lot of funny VSF and related stuff. I always enjoy visiting his stand at the "Tactcia" in Hamburg.

I have paid the somewhat painful price of getting some of his items from Germany to Nebraska, and have yet to feel disappointed.

However, I'm really blushing at not recognizing that; I guess I was too focused on other delights when viewing the store.

Lovely stuff

Have always thought Tobsen minatures a little "odd" - which is stupid as i play VSF which is all odd

Love the steam tank  :-* and the ballon of course  :-*

Unfortunately I must say that the baloon made of gips was not a good idea, it is now breaking into pieces.
Next time I will try it with a styropor ball.
My current project is a Zeppelin bought recently at the SPIEL in Essen from Labmasu (a new Italian company, they will also be at Crisis in Antwerp next Saturday). They have very nice VSF stuff, but the assembly of the Zeppelin needs a lote of patience and is not really easy. Parts are not always fitting as they should.

Here is the finished Zeppelin from the Italian company Labmasu. The lasercut model kit was a nightmare with regard to the assembly but finally I managed it.

Yes, now as it is finished I will try to forget the nerves that it cost me to build it.
