Hey mate, made any more progress on this now that folks are gaming together again?

I noticed Worlds End Publishing does not have any miniatures in their webstore but this thread still remains quite inspirational.
Funny you brought this up. I haven't played TNT or done any work on it since 2020, but recently one of the guys I've been playing Mordheim with told me that he really wants to play TNT again.  I'm someone who tends to focus on one tabletop game at a time, so I don't know if I want to juggle Mordheim and TNT, but once Mordheim dies down, I may have to blow the radioactive dust off the TNT rulebook and return to post-Apocalypse Seattle.

Now that I have TNT v2 in hand, my buddies are I are gearing up for another TNT campaign, set to kick off in late September.

In anticipation of this, I've gone back to work on painting Wasteland Creatures.

Here we have WIP Hill Folk, Walking Mudcats, Mud Crabs, and Rad Roaches.

Roaches are just gross, so instead of using oversized roaches, I used minis that are still kind of gross, but in a different way, so overall less gross for me.  These are minis from a Mythos board game and I purchased years ago from a seller on eBay.

The official setting for TNT is eastern Maryland, wedged between Pennsylvania and West Virginia. As such, many of the Wasteland Creatures are based on the fauna native to this locale. Since my TNT takes place in Western Washington my Mud Crabs are painted as giant mutant Dungeness crabs.

This list reflects my current progresss.

The other day I was watching a video published in August 2024 to tease TNT 2. In it, Joey McGuire answered a question about the possibility of him producing supplements for other areas of the US. This got me thinking, that with the warbands I’ve created and some of the lore I’ve made for our campaigns, I have the makings for a Western Washington fan-supplement (TNT: Salish Sea). I can add some local  fauna and cryptids to the creatures table, add a few region specific Mercs, and flesh out some of the geographic areas of interest. Of course all the regular warbands and rules will be playable. I already have a good start on rules for a Fisherfolk warband, an Icthyoid (Deep Ones) warband, and I have an idea of a logger/lumberjack warband that want to call Sawtooths.

Most of the existing Wasteland Creatures are generic enough to transfer easily to my PNW setting, but there are a handful that I would like to replace with native fauna and cryptids.

This sounds like a lot of fun! I love the idea of adding creatures and contending forces to fit the area where you live. Having grown up in BC, some of the creatures feel familiar…

The critters look good.  Quiet suitable for the Pacific Northwest, I would think...

I still have over two months until our TNT campaign kicks off and I'm in the middle of a Pagan Rus painting project, so I haven't put any paint on anymore TNT models.  I have, however, found some time to update the post-apoc Seattle map for the Salish Sea fan-supplement.  Some of the locations are nods to earlier campaigns and some of the warbands that played in them. For example, the Knights Machina Compound references a friend's Renegade Reclaimer warband, the Knights Machina, and New Innsmouth is a nod to my Settlers (post apoc fishermen) warband.

Some of the campaign participants played TNT v1 and some are entirely new to TNT.  I told all of them that this isn't a game that should be taken too seriously and that the setting campy post-apoc, so they should feel free to use to use make their warband's themes as outlandish as they want. Some of the players have taken me up on this and have come up with some fun yet silly ideas. I've plugged some of these ideas into Chat GPT and directed it to generate images of these warbands.

One player wants to field a warband of stranded  Martians from the Mars Attacks movie (counts-as Preservers). Another wants to use some GI Joe Cobra STLs he found online to make a Cobra-themed warbands. Ironically, he wants to field them as Peacekeepers. This is the result when the two warbands collide.

One player is going to use his Mutant Cannibals from our previous campaign. He is printing and painting a Butcher/BBQ shop for his cannibals as thematic terrain. Another player found some cool Wasteland Goblin miniature STLs, that look to me like evil Baby Yodas.  He is going to field them as Mutant Outcasts. This is what happens when the two groups meet.

Another player is playing a Mutants warband comprised of man-sized, intelligent bipedal rats whose ancestors escaped from a Seattle Biotech lab during the Long Night. It's essentially a Secret of NIHM warband, so I created an image inspired by that movie's animation.

Another player was toying with the idea of a Swedish Death Metal inspired band (Washington State has the largest population of Swedes in the US).  He has since changed his mind, but the image of his Raiders is pretty cool, so I am including it here.

One of the more mundane themes is Totem Tribal warband that worships a deity that takes the form of an gigantic crab.

Lastly, here is Chat GPT's vision of my own Raider warband, the Bonesingers. It is inspired by the photo of my warband's miniatures pictured above.
