These dice just arrived.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/funny-7pcs-Set-TRPG-Game-Dungeons-Dragons-Polyhedral-D4-D20-Multi-Sided-Acrylic-Dice-gadget-juguetes/32826376577.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.O01XNw

They look very nice.  The writing on them is perhaps a bit more gold than the creamy brown in the picture, but that's neither here nor there.  Less than $2 shipped for a set of fancy polydice is pretty darn good.

Was thinking some more about those magnets.  I wonder if the 2mm ones are the right size to sit flush under a standard slotta?   Sticking two under each would certainly make magnetizing figures for storage much easier and cheaper than  some of the other methods I've seen.

This ad for 1:200 cars shows the comparative sizes of the different car scales that are available.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/50Pcs-Pack-1-200-Simulation-Cars-Sand-Table-Model-Cars-Hot-Selling/32754002698.html
You still have to check the size specs carefully in case the seller mislabels the scale, but it looks like there really might be  workable cheap car choices for most small scales on Ali.
Here's the pic from the ad.

Somehow had missed this thread - will take a look.  The most impressive thing so far is the excellent 10mm-esque buildings.  Looks great and reasonable for filling a table!

Those plugs/chimneys would be great for mounting a radar/satellite dish, or radio signal array, or auto-cannons, or even just ventilation tops.

Looking through some badly translated advertisements my girlfriend figured out that consistently, "front view" is translated as "positive" I think this info might be useful to all of us trying to figure out what we are reading on occasion.  o_o

Additionally, I have heard of people using matt eyeshadow makeup as weathering powders, stuff like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Professional-Kit-3-Colour-Powder-Shadow-Eyebrow-Powder-Shadow-Palette-Enhancer-with-Ended-Brush/32832506047.html Anybody have any experience with using the cheapest stuff like this?

Facinating.  I've never heard of this, but it sounds like it has potential.  I assume you have to matte varnish over it after application.

I don't have much use for weathering powders in my wargaming terrain, but I just started model railroading and I'm more interested now.

Following this. The range of kiwarm buildings is indeed impressive, i wonder if there's any equivalent for 28mm. It would simply be awesome.

Anyone received the 6mm buildings yet? I'd buy a big bunch of those!

I got this one in a few weeks ago. It looks to be perfect for 10mm!  8)

Here seen with 15mm infantry on the left and 10mm on the right.

Next to it is one of the earlier ones I posted...
