The first Irish figures

First of my Elizabethan Irish complete. Not sure about the Saffron colour, might need to go a bit darker. Few more shots on the blog.

Very nice. I like the muted saffron, probably much nearer to the actual colour than a bright yellow.

Thanks for the feedback, I may add a couple slighter darker in my next batch just to be sure, I doubt the dye was an exact science at this time.

A lovely bunch of bog trotters , and yes dying was not exact then plus you have fading from sun exposure/dye running or darkening due to dirt/moisture.
