Doctor Syn
« on: 09 April 2009, 09:58:17 PM »
Hi,

Apologies if its old news, but BBC iPlayer is currently hosting four episodes of The Further Adventures of Doctor Syn (www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b008h931/The_Further_Adventures_of_Dr_Syn_Episode_1/ through to 4) with more to come.

It's the Eighteenth Century, and retired Pirate come Country Parson doubles as fiendish smuggler "The Scarecrow", with ex-seadog sexton as assistant and other friends in low places.

Cheers,

B.W.

Brilliant! Loved the books when I was a kid :)
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

Hi Schogun,

I think that the iPlayer only works in the UK area and outside the UK you have to use RealPlayer to hear the radio programmes.

Cheers, B.W.

I remember watching that movie as a kid. Made by Walt Disney Studios...I even have the trade-paperback novel which I remember readin in one day...I really should dig it out for my two boys to read...too bad the episode wasn't available to watch!!! I'll keep trying. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!! ;)
Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!
