The offer ends on 6 December, so I reckon so. I did the Rogue Stars one last year; if memory serves, that came earlier than expected.

From posts I saw on various Facebook pages, the Dwarves arrived very quickly after the pre-order period if I'm not mistaken.

North Star have said they can't guarantee orders by Christmas and that although they're aiming to start shipping on the 6th they are also aware that unforeseen problems might delay the whole process and would prefer not to make promises they might not be able to keep.

FYI: Box cover art by Ralph Horsley - Sculpt by Michael Anderson.

So now you know why they have that old school vibe.  lol

The metal goblins/orcs are by Mark Copplestone. And they look exactly as I always hoped they would if Copplestone ever should do orcs. The helmets are very similar to the old Grenadier half-orc helmets.

I'm just in awe. It's the kind of orcs I always wanted.
I just really hope they eventually will do the war-orcs Copplestone promised us over a decade ago.

They fit quite nicely alongside the grenadier half-orcs don't they.

I think I will be in for a box and the metals.  They look like they would go well with the Thunderbolt Mountain goblins and a few warg riders might go well with these (before they close :'( :'( :'()

Personally, not that impressed with the metal goblins, too blocky for my taste. The exception being the original maquette figure by Anderson. If they hired him as their sculptor of metals I would almost certainly buy those. I agree that the Tom Meier (Thunderbolt Mountain) stuff would probably be a good match.

I agree with you Nord- Those Copplestone metals look a bit crude to me. (sorry Mr Copplestone, I like a lot of your other stuff. These are just not my cup of tea)

I really like the maquette by Anderson though.
In all honesty I probably only just put my preorder in to get that model!! I'm interested to have a play around with the plastics though. I wonder if some of the bits from the awful mantic orcs might work with them? I have some somewhere and it would be good to finally make use of them!!

Does anybody with experience of Northstar preorders know if the money comes out upfront or at the point of dispatch? It would be good to know, it is that time of the year when money 'disappears' at an alarming rate after all!!

Funnily enough the maquette model is the standout for me too. I find myself really wanting that figure! The shoulders slightly put me off the plastics though that's a bit of a trade off with the flexibility of the sprues I suppose.

They are BEAUTIFUL miniatures, but they look more like Grenadier style Orcs than Goblins to me. The BEST OF LUCK with the preorder!

They remind me slightly of the old Nick Lund Chronicle orcs in style.

I like the way they look.
After 20 plus years of not painting Fantasy,
I have preordered a box.
Now just have to paint them. lol
