Forum Access Issues?

Just had a 35 minute ' black out' with the page referring to a domain server site.

The problem seems to be getting worse.

Has failed to open a couple of times this morning but now has just caught me between writing a reply to a thread and trying to post that reply. Not done this before.

Just another 14 minute break. Odd though. Everything works fine and then suddenly it slows down and you get that other page when refreshing. Somehow convinced the problem is with the  domain provider.

You guys are not alone - was worst for me on this last Saturday. Finally quit trying to post after it kept going to the blank white screen.

Same thing with me, a page claiming the site has just been registered.  It's been happening, off and on, for at least a month now.

It looks something like what you get when a cyber squatter has jumped on an expired domain name.

Just happened a half hour ago, and has now cleared up.

Yes, we're aware of the issues. Unfortunately nothing we can fix in the short run. Will take a few weeks. We will keep you posted.

Yes, it's very strange. Often, I can access these forums easily. But on occasion (randomly, it seems) nothing I do can open any pages here, I just get the error message (more or less) as mentioned above.

It's not a real problem, since I shouldn't be looking at everyone else's stunning work without doing any of my own, but still.

The access problem has not yet been resolved. Good luck with that.

The long down-time yesterday was related to Prof's recent news (under-the-bonnet work was going on concerning the upcoming transfer). There will be more downtime as we are moving server and ownership is changing hands. Click the link at the top of the page that says "LAF - important announcement" to find out more.

It has been pretty good of late for me Hooray. Just the little bit down yesterday. Now to read that link.
