Escher Gang for Necromunda
« on: January 10, 2018, 03:09:57 PM »
Hi guys,

Thought I'd post some pictures of my Escher gang for Necromunda. I think they're the first project I've actually completed properly since I moved house in November 2016! So I'm quite pleased. Very nice models to put together. The one thing I find with GW models is how long they take to paint as there are so many 'extras' on them to paint. I'm used to Bolt Action where it's uniform, skin and little else!

 Thanks for looking

 Matt

Lovely work, and I didn't think the old and the new models would mix - but they do.

Thanks guys  :)

Yeah, there is a fairly noticeable size difference between them but they are usable together I think. The juves certainly look quite small in comparison to the new models but I don't mind that as at least they're distinguishable.

Very nice, lovely colour scheme. Totally agree on all the little details, just when you think you're getting somewhere you notice an extra googaw that needs paint.

Thanks everyone  :)

Yeah there's so much to paint! It wasn't something I really noticed years ago when I played 40K, so I'm not sure if I was just used to it back then or alternatively whether GW have added more in the decade or so I've been away from the hobby.

I have just bought these. The only thing I don't like is the rather silly high heels, so those will have to go.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

The silly high heels is for the Killer Heels rule: automatically kills a downed enemy model in base contact with style!  ;)

Still going to have to go though....I see my Escher girls in Doc Martens instead. That will also reduce the height by 2mm as well which won't hurt.

No, that's a fair point. They'll probably mix better with the old figures with the heels trimmed a bit
