PMs Necromunda Ash Wastes Vehicles - Escher Flyer Conversion PIC HEAVY

I got a copy of the Ash Wastes box set for Christmas. I still have started building it yet but I thought I would share my first vehicle.
I quite like the new Escher "jet bikes" and thought I would have a go at doing one of my own. It is a converted AT43 Karman vehicle. I have built a cockpit using bits from an old 1/48 helicopter kit and added a chin mounted chain cannon (magnetic). I cheated a bit with the colour scheme as I quite like the original blue it came with, so I just weathered it a bit.

I have some Escher Bikes, Trike and Dragster on my workbench and vehicles for Goliath, Van Saar and Orlock in various build states. I will post as I go.

Wow, this is an incredible conversion. I actually have a couple of these sitting around in boxes... Now I think I might have to try my hand at a similar conversion. Where did the back panel come from to cover up that hole where the gun is on the original model? Is it a scratch build as well, or comes from the helicopter kit.

Thanks for the comments. I really enjoyed doing this. I was thinking of getting another one and building a “bomber” version.

It is a searchlight from the original model. I just cut off the original mount and covered the hole at the back.
