Well now. That looks promising!

(Also, some nice GW trolling concerning plastic sisters of battle).

I wouldn’t expect anything big coming from it though, Andy (the guy in charge of Necro) is a big fan of the Rogue Trader era stuff and of the 40k Lore in general. They can get away with all sorts of niche stuff that wouldn’t be considered for 40k.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Well that was fun. I like the new attitude at GW. The games are supposed to be fun after all.

I have no interest at all in purchasing squats but am happy to see them return. What's next, Zoats? Oh wait, that other clock said plastic sisters of battle with 5 minutes ontil 12:00 and thunderhawk gunship.

I'm not expecting much at the moment... but Andy also has a very nice little Squat army so a gang of them wouldn't necessarily be out of the question ;)

The squat and the beastman are a handy way to test the water. When they've run through the base gangs they'll be looking for more options.

That.

Also, with Necromunda being all new and re-designed, what better than to add new factions?

Yeah but with the scale creep would a new squat be the size of a old space marine?

They are adding Chaos Cultist and Genestealer Hybrid gangs to Necromunda. While not exactly new per say, I think it is a good move. The 2 new gangs will appear in White Dwarf. They haven't said which months though.

Although I am hopeful that it will be the same height as the old-school Squats, I am expecting it to be more in line with Kharadron Overlords.

My reasoning is that it opens up the viability of a sci-fi sprue (weapons/arms/heads) for the Kharadron (much like the new weapon options for the Tzangor miniatures)... not necessarily on the cards at all but it does have the compatibility to work.

The Kharadons fit with 40k pretty well as is. A Necromunda resin upgrade set from Forgeworld would work them in straight away. Easy sales.

Yes that would make sense,I think the kharadron background fluff would suit the squat theme better than miniature zztop biker wannabes TBH given that they are linked with mining.
I was thinking of getting some other day for this exact reason .

Out of interest how much bigger are the kharadron  compared to the warhammer iron drake miniatures?? Anyone know.
