Very tough choice. o_o
I afraid the eyes have it. :D
I like the whole set up of the first one as well. Tells a story and pulls the five figures together as a group.
Great stuff both of you :-*

I resorted to flipping a coin for this one, seriously. Both awesome entries, great photos & setup, and both in that pulpish vein that's right up my alley!

Heads it was, and the underdressed heroine and her captors got my nod.

What more I can say:
Both entries are superb?

I must say that I do not like very much the choice of colours of No 1 entry. I would like a much more bright colour for their uniform. the lady is fantastic.
2nd entry : superb, all my favourite heroes there and very nice paintjob!

In this case yes, we need a "both" choice button!

I could'nt help myself and voted for the Lady in Distress .
What range did the lady come from?

She's from Brigade's "Perils and Predicaments" line:

Someone here on the LPL pointed her out to me when I was searching for an Istanbul Constabulary victim.  Her hat is also from Brigade.

Tzar, The League seems to have a lot of more work than your mercenaries  ;)

Cause Mancha is the winner : I know how it could be hard to find a fifth minis to complete a pack of four, and what an ideal victim this young lady is ! Of course, the pith helmet tops it off !  ;D Just great !

I'm afraid though that we'll see a lot more of comics entries in the near future  ::)

I've been thinking about that myself.  In fact, I was surprised to find that mine was the only entry using this "gimmic".

I have another entry planned for which I may also use the comics presentation.  The comics presentation allows the painter to tell a more obvious "story" about the minis.  Some collections of five minis don't need a back story to explain why they are together, but other collections of five seemingly different minis may need such a story to tie them together.

Lon ought to add that young lady with the addition of a pith helmet to his range - she works beautifully. Great paint job too.

I must confess that I do not like the comics presentation. In some way it spoils the photo and colours.  [I think]
I would suggest that the presentation in such cases should be in both form presentation i.e. comics and photos!
