HMLS Hindustan. A bit of paintwork on the various pipes to do. And the controls in the conning tower.

I have a proper crew from Redoubt to paint. The sailors boys are just for scale.

The tracks are from a poundshop bulldozer. Body is plastic card.

I've got 2 more models on the stocks. A steam artillery tractor, and the SMLS"Fafnir", an Imperial German ironclad. I'll post pics soon but leave with one last shot of the Hindustan.

Splendid model. I like the way you have done the rivets, which for those like me with no modelling skills is a lot less painful than the usual "3-D" methods.

I look forward to meeting Fafnir  :)

Outstanding!  My problem with most landship builds is that the tracks always look too modern.  These are perfect!  I wish our dollar stores carried those bulldozers!

Nice work on the 'clads Bezzo. Good to see you keeping up the rivet tradition. Extra ration of grog for that man!

Very impressive indeed. It's odd, but I never considered simply painting on the rivets.
It could do with a few more though... ::)

Too many is never enough, when it comes to rivets  ;)

I think I like your builds possibly more than any I have seen, Bezzo, mate. There's something about them that makes them look like they could have been real machines from the early 20th Century, arriving a little before their time. I like that. So much VSF stuff you see is just some Sci-Fi toy with rivets stuck on it, and I have no appetite for that whatsoever.

Maybe I like them because they look like they're from the Great War era, as that's my thing. They have the air of some of the real early tank prototypes, which actually were just commercial caterpillars with some armour plate stuck on them.

I do appreciate all the positive comments! Gee, after years of thinking I was "strange" liking all this stuff, like modelling and in eras that never even existed... sorry but it feels like I have found a home..or refuge...same thing. Apologies if this comes across as being a tadge over-sentimental. I am a lean, mean wargaming machine.

There is nothing odd about it, much less sentimental. Where else could a hardcore GW salve like I was start building Aeronefs just to see if he could, and then make them Norwegian, paint a full crew, some soldiers to go with them, and start converting Dwarf Gyrocopters to be the air force around them? And have people LOVE IT instead of looking at it and going "so, what army is that for? Lizardmen, maybe?"

It is love, love I tell you!

As is sadly so often the case, that's just what I would have said if my brain had been nimble enough.
