Thanks  :)

Got a 15mm one on the go. Basically a smaller version of this one here http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=108923.0

Slightly reduced detailed given the size but the basics are there. Should be done Wednesday (heat depending).

cheers

James

This was an outstanding work of yours, I was visiting again and again that page, very inspiring! It was also an admirable piece of terrain on the battle table!
For sure this one will be as good or better! Cheers!

Thanks  :)

All done now and already in it's box.

Potentially got the Aspern/Essling granary to do in 15mm as well which should a nice little build.

Next are some more 28 houses and some 10mm building bases  :)

James, can you PM me the basic cost for creating such a model - or something similar?  Not including post.

Interesting that there are no chimneys - is that your choice, the customer's, or just the style of the actual buildings from that area?

Splendid work, btw!

Observant nobility there, Baron.  I suspect most of us were so enthralled with the fine craftsmanship that we missed that detail.  Doubly wondering since the first images in the thread do have chimneys.  Good spotting.

Clients choice but I’ve seen plenty of German house that seem to have none at all.

The Low German House style of building often had an 'uhlenloch' opening instead of a chimney as they had an internal open fire pit type arrangement.

Actually, as a wargaming choice it makes a lot of practical sense to forsake the chimneys, especially if one plays with clumsy folks who are likely to catch them with cuffs or tape measures. I’ve had chimney pots broken off in storage ...... the horror!

Yep, someone very sizeable managed to knock a tree top off in last nights game. It took some doing, but he is rather large. ;)

I like the building as is very much. ;D

Got some more done to go with the first couple of builds in the thread. Four to go and a church and that's that lot done  :)

Just quick photos for now as I've got a French ironclad calling me  :)
