Review: Zombie Mob 001 by Studio Miniatures
« on: May 22, 2009, 09:27:36 PM »
This week at The Screaming Alpha I'm proud to review what may possibly be the best-looking zombie minis on the market today. Certainly they're the best I've seen. Terrific detail, interesting variety, and some truly sick "battle damage" including a katana impalement. You need to see the pics to appreciate them. Zombie aficionados do not want to miss this one.

Thanks Curryman always look forward to your reviews.  I really enjoyed painting mine up too.

I don't think you'll be disappointed, zombiekiller. I truly rate them as the best zeds on the market right now, at least of the ones I've seen...

Thanks for the review, Curry'. One thing that you don't address in your article is scale- How do these size up versus the various other living/undead figures out there...? Are there any other further sets planned, so one can build a more varied zombie horde?

*EDIT*

I presume the scale issue is meant to be addressed in your master zombie database project, but in the absence of the finished database, it still might be nice to have a rough idea in the body of the review.

Just a thought... ;)

Sorry I missed your comment until now, Heldrak. Scale comparison is a tough issue to discuss in print, which is why I'd like to do it in pictures once I get my various issues with the MZD database sorted out. In brief I's say that they're substantially smaller than the Griffins in all dimensions, substantially shorter than the Cold Wars (which tend towards the tall and gangly), a bit smaller than Hasslefree's adventurers but not terribly so. Oh, and they're substantially bigger than the MegaMinis, which are the tiniest zeds in my collection. I hope that helps.

Do check out bandit's pics, they offer a pretty good comparison.
