Pinnacle Ent Models - Pics wanted
« on: 24 May 2009, 07:46:51 PM »
Hello everybody. I've just been giving into temptation and looking at pages of shiny things, but rather annoyingly I have stumbled across something interesting and there are no pictures available for them. They are listed as being by Pinnacle Ent and from their Weird War 2 range. I've tried a few options on google and don't seem to be able to find any pictures or them so please help me if you can to be parted from my cash. So has anybody got

I am specifically interested in the U.S. Squad, but any models such as the Wehrmacht or the 'Heroes of World War II' would still be useful for comparison purposes.

For anyone that feels guilty about causing me to part with my cash part of the reason I am asking about them is I have found them on sale at Leisure Games.

These Jeff Valent Studios "historicals" are the old Pinnacle Weird War II minis (minus the nazi orcs):

The figs really look big for use with 28mm stuff.

But since they are bigger, the ORKs in trenchcoats look really hulking next to Artizan figs.

IIRC he had to stop selling the Nazi Brute Squad figures due to a dispute of some sort with Pinnacle. However, if you want similar figures the "Sandmen" from the Graven Images Disturbia line are perfect. They may also be OOP though, since the Northstar site says "Out of Stock."

Yep, they are BIG -- IMHO that makes them perfect for a Nazi "Brute" squad monster!!!

PM sent to richarDMB.

Thanks for the response as well, it's useful to know that they aren't 28mm as well. I initially assumed that they were, although the revelation has merely tempered my curiosity, as I do seem to primarily buy models I like the look of rather than specifically for particular games.
