Thanks! The bronze armour is AK Old Gold mixed with black and Scale 75 Gobi Brown. I then use washes of Scale 75 Carribean Blue and AK Pastel Green. The edges are highlighted with Pastel Green.
Thanks for the info!

"Prisoner X", a Mordheim piece inspired by stories such a The Count of Monte Cristo, The Man in the Iron Mask and The Tale of Two Cities.

The bits are from the Chainrasp Hordes, Deadwalker Zombies, and Flagellants. The icon is from the 54mm Eisenhorn.

Cracking job sir. I actually thought that was a mini and not a conversion.

A Mordheim pit fighter.

Suitable quote from Conan the Barbarian:
”He did not care any more... life and death... the same. Only that the crowd would be there to greet him with howls of lust and fury. He began to realize his sense of worth... he mattered. In time, his victories could not easily be counted”

I've said it before and I'll say it again - it's the beautiful muted palette with a blast of something unexpected that sells these for me. The way you compose your colours is just a treat.

I hope that is alright that I post this here even though it's in the fantasy forum. Didn't want to necro my old 40k thread.

A kitbashed servitor using the upper torso from the Kataphron Destroyers, legs from X-101 from Blackstone Fortress and a mechanical arm from the Necromunda Enforcer Automatas. I wanted to avoid the usual mechanicus red and also give him some resemblance to heavy machinery used in construction and mining. I applied weathering using the sponge method and then gave some of the edges some extra wear by running a pencil over them, a technique I've seen used in the scale modelling scene.
