Ah! The Company of Many Faces, for those situations where one Faceless Man is a bit too steep a price, so you send 40 guys to do the same job!

 lol

I like the look of the Lannister infantry too, the one painted kettle-helm is an interesting choice, I wonder how it'd look with more armour painted in house-colours rather than bare steel.

I’ve painted one or two of the knights helmets, breastplates or weapons with House colours, partly for identification, and partly to relieve the boredom of lots of silver...less so with the rest of the foot units as they are more easily identifiable, and I wondered if it might be overkill?

Thanks both - I’d take a Group shot, but I haven’t got a clear space in my games room right now...it looks like an earthquake hit it.

Of course, I could spend a day tidying it up, but then I could always paint some more figures....

One of the greatest dilemmas in every gamer/painters life. I know I struggle daily with that same issue.

I expect so, probably the usual one page A4

Excellent, my fave rules as you might recall. I haven't got time to read a massive tome, let alone understand it.  ;)

Spurred on by Happychappy’s latest post, I decided I’d add some Karstarks to my own todo list.

The look I want meant it was time for a bit of spruebashing - generally speaking I like the look of the Karstarks from the TV series (meaner, madder Starks), so I wanted a lot of variety.

The bodies & arms are a mix of Fireforge Foot sergeants, Byzantine Spearmen (which I bought for the helmets for my Unsullied) and Frostgrave Soldiers. The heads are from Westwind, and the shields from Gripping Beast.

Nice creations Matt. Are those Arthurian era heads from Westwind? They work well.

Thanks Richard, and apologies for the lousy photo. I can see now how easy it is to get hooked on coming up with different combos from different ranges.

The heads are indeed from the Arthurian/Dark Ages range, a combo of Picts and British. Have got some of the hooded ones as well, but haven’t found a use for them yet.

Agreed, nice work on the conversions, they definitely get the 'scruffier Starks' look across! Can't wait to see them painted!

I really like the look of the Westwind heads too, they work well! I might have to pick up a pack myself!

Thanks - I’m definitely going to get some more of the Westwind heads, there is plenty of variety - I’m using the more scruffy bearded ones at the moment for the northerners, but they also have some clean shaven ones that will get used for the softy southerners

 :D

Hoping to make some more progress this weekend - build some more Karstarks, plus I’ve got loads on the painting table. I guess I could tidy up a bit...but no, need to paint some more.
