I love the faded greys you have on the Wildling clothes!

Also in retrospect the Darksword Tyrion is extremely Richard III-ish, isn't he?

Thanks mate.

For the Wildlings, I start with a mid-grey base coat, add the browns for fur, weapons etc, a quick wash, and then a couple of layers of much lighter grey and then offwhite dry brushing....seems to do the trick.

And yes the Tyrion sculpt does has a bit of the Richard III about him...either that or Lord Farquaad from Shrek

Quick update... managed to finish some more of the Freefolk.

Apologies for the lousy picture, currently every flat space is currently taken up with my Dredd project, or piles of sprues...

Usual mix of CMON, Frostgrave, Fireforge & Copplestone, plus some Perry arms, Westwind heads, and plenty of green stuff fur.

Excellent! Surprised how well the CMON ones blend in too, given how tall they are usually!

Cheers all!

Managed to take a couple of (slightly) better photos today, of all my Freefolk, before I head north of the Wall today.

The mammoth is from DeeZee for scenarios before the Freefolk are south of the Wall...would have come in handy in the Battle of the Bastards.

The much smaller CMON giants would probably fit in better size wise with the mammoth (thinking of the scene where a giant is riding a mammoth), but I really like the larger Elladan giant.

Guess I could always get a bigger mammoth, but I had the DZ one lying around from an abortive caveman project (the cavemen ended up being used in my Planet of the Apes project)

Cheers Rich, I’m in Glasgow tonight...went for a walk, and ended up finding a Games Shop completely by accident (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it)...came out with some more sprues... shame I didn’t pack some superglue and my bits box...otherwise I’d start work on the next batch....

Quick update....a few hours spare this weekend, so knocked out another 42 dead - mainly mantic ghouls with green stuff fur and some spare weapons, although there a few Frostgrave/Fireforge parts in this batch.

Still some more of these to work my way through at some point before I start adding some slightly less decomposed corpses into the mix.

Dothraki on the paint table next, plus thinking about starting some new Houses....because I clearly haven’t got enough on the go right now
