Thanks, guys! I'm afraid the building bug bit me again, so I'll probably make a few more pieces to accompany these, before moving on to painting. Updates within a couple weeks.  :D

Work-in-progress pics of the latest room.

Doesn't look much anything yet, but already plenty of hours used on it. It's slooow.

This yet another cool WIP. It's nice to see how you build your pieces!

Thanks! I will post some more WIP pictures of how these new pieces progress. Here you can see how it's starting to come more alive with more bits added. Various parts from new and old kits, along with cut sprues and cardboard. Nice detail is how you only need half the amount of pipes if they are placed along the walls like this.  :D

Next phase for this piece would be greenstuffing and hardening the exposed parts with glue-mix. Then some last added details. I will make a few more pieces (mainly doors) alongside of this, before finishing and painting them all in bulk closer to summer.

I magnetized this crane to make a LED holder.

Generator's side is also open, so LEDs can be inserted to it as well.

I've been following your progress for a while now, and I'm really impressed by the amount of work you're putting into these marvelous terrain pieces. the detail and atmosphere are just great, and I'm sure it will be an absolute joy to game on these!

But I can't help but wonder at the prodigious rate you're going through all of those kits! There must be a small fortune in GW terrain in there by now. Do you know how many kits you've cannibalized by now?

@'smurf & Chimp: Thanks!

What kind of tiny LED is that? It looks marvelous!

They're cheap few-euros LEDs from China, of which ebay is full of. I don't remember specs. Wires were clear plastic, but I wrapped it up in black tape. Manual switch, because bought a couple years ago. If I'd buy them now, I'd pick remote controlled ones. Maybe I get some of those later.

I've been following your progress for a while now, and I'm really impressed by the amount of work you're putting into these marvelous terrain pieces. the detail and atmosphere are just great, and I'm sure it will be an absolute joy to game on these!

Thanks, man! I have to say that my initial plan was to build only half of this. But when I still had pieces left, I kept building it further and further. Now I'm (almost) sure I'm nearing the completion point. Bits box is fast emptying and I have to plan more carefully how I can fill every wall.

But I can't help but wonder at the prodigious rate you're going through all of those kits! There must be a small fortune in GW terrain in there by now. Do you know how many kits you've cannibalized by now?

Less than one would expect, I'm sure! Let's see...

- 2 old Manufactorum boxes (new, GW, before they went OOP, for about 20 euros a piece -- still got a third box almost untouched)
- Box of used Imperial Sector (mainly Manufactorum) box parts, bought cheap from previous owner (This was a lucky find, without it the price would have climbed up at least 1/3)
- Thermic Plasma Conduits box (new, GW, still got about 1/4 of it left)
- Half of Chemical Plant plastic kit set (non-GW)
- Another cheap kit from Chemical Plant's manufacturer
- Half of Sacristan Forgeshrine (new, GW)
- 1 sprue of Zone Mortalis doors (used, GW, bought as bits)
- 2-3 sprues worth of Shrine of the Aquila floor pieces (used, GW, bought as bits)
Edit: Oh, and also a couple GW container sprues as well.

So, it's not that much. About 4-5 full 20-40 euros kits, plus a pile of assorted bits. The rest of it is just glue, sprues, cardboard, foamboard, greenstuff, wire, and leftover parts of various things. It's a fair bit of plastic, but you really don't expect to get 20 complete rooms when you look at those materials. Cardboard plays a huge part in expanding it, like you can see from the latest WIP.

I did some planning of what parts I would need. The Manufactorum kits were the most essential, with all of their parts usable to me. In Shrine of the Aquila, for example, I really liked the floor bits, but didn't find the rest very useful -- so I bought just the floors when I could find them cheap.

Half of Sacristan Forgeshrine and those Zone Mortalis doors were a recent addition to complete the leftovers I still had.
