Carlos............very interesting regarding the A.R.V.N 18th Division...as ever i think a lot
came down to the leadership..either exceptional or really poor...i have a mate who.s Dad
was an ARVN Major during the war...fought hard..had a price on his head and escaped
to Cork in Ireland ,and opened up a string of fish and Chip shops....been trying to get his
take on the War..

And assist it does, though I did manage to free hand the brassard markings on a spare Rubicon crewman as a fourth MP. No complicated helmet markings for me as mine are doing service in Berlin circa 1984.
Very nice figures, top marks.

For anyone wanting a bit of help with the helmet markings, there are these:
https://www.promodels.eu/en/fg48055-us-helmet-insignias-and-markings-xml-425_434_453-1340.html
Designed for 1/48 figures, they should work just as well for 28mm.

Very nice and welcome addition but I'd have to argue with the terminology. Those look very much like the Nhân dân tự vệ, the People's Self-Defence Force, a local village based militia organised from 1968 onwards but some would pass as very early, Diem era, Civil Guard members. They could also work as Revolutionary Development Cadres, who worked alongside the Civil Guard.
The Ruff Puffs (Regional Forces/Popular Forces) were provincial ARVN units and armed and equipped much like the regular ARVN, albeit on a reduced scale and more often than not with older weapons from the ARVN inventory, typically M1 Garands and M2 carbines. Regional Forces were company sized forces assigned province wide, Popular Forces were platoon sized and more locally based, typically based on a single village. Both came under the control of the Province Chief. There's a good article on the effectiveness of RF/PF forces that also gives organisational tables.
https://vietnam.unsw.adfa.edu.au/the-arvn-was-their-performance-misunderstood/
Hopefully there will be some RF/PF forthcoming in their more typical uniformed and equipped state. That said these are a welcome addition. Well done for tackling an under represented force.

HI Carlos
appreciate the kind comments..
and the interesting back story,,
as you say these are more like
village Militia and the M1 and M2
armed units are in the mix! underated
troops..with varied combat ability
amd effectiveness..but very much
part of the widespread war arena
in the "Nam" !

Interesting set of figures.
Might come in handy for local militia.
