Harold my Hero
« on: June 07, 2009, 10:01:42 PM »
These pics are a kind of excuses for my lack of new entries in the last round of the LPL. The painting is not great but above all, my mini has a wonderful story I would like to share.

I discovered it thanks to Yankeepedlar01 when he posted it HERE, And I fell in love immediately with it. As this mini was a free Partisan figure, I asked him where to find one and he was very helpful. By the way, David is also the father of Matt Bickley who sculpted this gem so double cheers, David !

Then I was very jealous of Orctrader who find one before me, then I asked for his help too and Malcolm was a wonderful go-between, who asked sponteanously on several forums for me. In a way, he helps me for this post too, so double cheers, Malcolm !

Thanks to him, I got in contact with annette from Frothers who was wonderfuly generous and kindly offered it to me  :o

So this mini is more than a wonderful sculpt to me  but a kind of symbol for what LAF is so great and why I owe it something.

Crappy pics as usual - and sorry for my poor english, it's late...

"a kind of symbol for what LAF is so great" - well put Sir and theres no need to apologise for the painting, it is a wonderful job and one you obviously put a little heart and soul into too. It is this that makes it possibly the best I have seen from your brush.

Figure looks great...lots of personality. Now you need to give him a special name like...

Malcolm Davidson
