Medium density fibreboard.

I always thought MDF was an 'Americanism'...
Now I'm wondering what you guys call it, because I'm sure you must have it 

It's a ubiquitous synthetic board used for carpentry and throughout the building industry for all sorts of things. Comes in various weights. Pale brown in colour. Very rigid. Doesn't warp. Easy to cut and work. Just don't breathe in the dust or you die young...

Two quick questions:

1) What is MDF?

1) The good captain has covered that one.

2) The awnings/canopies are made of tissue paper, glued on with PVA glue first, then diluted PVA and water was brushed on. When it dries it goes quite hard and can be painted.

I have a pack of these, the only slight problem is they are much, much taller than the original Foundry Mexican Peasants. But the dress is practically spot on for the early 1800's Texas/California/Mexico.

The Senora in black with the Mantilla is an excellent figure, she will almost certainly be shaparoning the Governors daughter in a future game...
