Several folks were saying that a proper paintjob would make the new ghoul models look the business... well, here we are!

You actually sculpted penises on those figures? Wow, uncommon but anatomically refreshing. I saw the goblins in there, and they certainly look great, exactly like ghouls with the replacement heads. Better than the goblins they were originally supposed to be imo. Great stuff.

Thanks

Your work is like a Gothic novel rendered in 3D. Your vampire and ghouls are inspirational!

Wonderfully horrid work on the ghouls as usual.

Several folks were saying that a proper paintjob would make the new ghoul models look the business... well, here we are!

There's also a lot of conversion work there, and I don't just mean the genatalia.  Paint alone will not save those figures.  The stock GW ghouls are slathered with silly spiky details and body piercings that do nothing to improve the look of the models, and their universally hunched postures look ridiculous in large numbers, especially when ranked up.  Moreover, some (maybe many) of those figs are actually LotR goblins, again heavily converted - and even without conversions those goblins make better ghouls than the WFB/AoS ghouls actually do.

You actually sculpted penises on those figures?

I was actually wondering why every one of them is male - although a couple of the 4-set image might not be, hard to judge.  If you're going to do all that conversion work and draw attention to their sex, why not some distaff ghouls?

Entertaining fight, and a very good writeup.  The personalities of the characters came through better than some RPG sessions I've been in.  Good thing Gloryhammer's a Stormcast, he'll get reforged and have a chance at revenge - and to have a word with his cowardly lackeys.

Impressive! When GW released the Age of Sigmar lines a few years ago I never pictured anyone taking it in this direction. Excellent work combining ranges and other historicals, they all work together really well.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

The rank and file GW ghouls have pretty poor poses, and I'm not a fan of their faces either. The Grymwatch ones are much better, though still not enough to leave them unconverted.

I was actually wondering why every one of them is male

Two of them are female. The one eating an arm and the one with long hair.

Like I said, hard to tell from the angles of the photo.  Sylvaneth model donated the longhair head, yes?

She actually came that way. The best model in the Grymwatch box. It's the first female ghoul I've seen from GW since I've been in the hobby.
