Medieval Awards
« on: 17 June 2009, 12:14:27 PM »
One of my friends at Sheffield Wargames ran a War of the Roses game last Sunday recreating the Battle of Tewkesbury.  Although I wasn't playing, I was asked to paint some awards for those that were.  I don't know what each one was given for, but I'll try and find out.

All of these are 1/72 plastics from the Strelets Medieval Britain Set.  Bloody awful plastic to work with, but I think they've come out OK and apparantly the receipients liked them.

The bit I'm least happy with is I tried to get a bit of sheer fabric effect on the wench's bum, but it just looks a bit dirty.  Any tips for next time to improve this?

Any other C&C you have is most welcome, too! :) Especially pointers if I've painted anything incorrectly as I really don't know very much about this period!

Well done Dave.
The phrase 'silk purse / sow's ear' springs to mind...  ;)
Can't give you advice on painting wenches' bums I'm afraid. I think Bugsda's probably your man for that...  lol
