Fantastic faces.  I am struggling with some right now.  I'd love to know how you do yours.  The look so expressive and the highlights are just right.

A project this good should definitely not be rushed, really looking forward to seeing it complete. Does Chef come with a separate head lol

Cheers Erik; current recipe is (Vallejo): base of 'Flat Flesh' (couple of thin coats), wash of very thin Purple Ink (very old citadel stuff), highlight of 'Flat Flesh', highlight of 'Light Flesh', wash of thinned down 'Umber Wash' (game color Lavado Sombra). Only change I tried with these blokes is the eyes, I usually paint them black and then put a little bit of  'White Grey' in the corners; this time I left the eyes black from the primer, did the corners and then painted around them. Makes them look less like they are all sporting mascara.

A project this good should definitely not be rushed, really looking forward to seeing it complete. Does Chef come with a separate head lol

First thought was the head with the banana leaf hat, then saw Paul's comment and I got where you were going..!

That looks brilliant Ash (the PBR),you’re pretty good on the airbrush :)

Thanks very much, it's a bit of a new toy for me, all previous builds have been a la rattle can. Must say I do find rattle can primer (Halfords finest) does stick better than the Vallejo stuff. This is the first thing I've tried shading and highlighting with an airbrush (Badger Xtreme Patriot 105), which so far I'm rather pleased with.

I am enjoying following your boat project. I will buy the Empress Kit soon so your tutorial will be helpful.

Just found this:

Did you watch the old Top Gear gang in Vietnam? Clarkson in a PBR, I was entertained.

I hadn't seen that before. Assuming that PBR was left behind when the US pulled out, it's probably the best part of 50 yrs old, and still going.

Got a bit more done; had a go at Chef's tatoo (Nightmare). May do the camo on Lance's face.
Plonked all the bits on the boat to see how it looks (nothing glued yet), got all the plant bits for the replacement roof to do next.

Slowly getting there, still a fair amount to do.

Looks great.

What is that gray and blue thing in front of the radar?  Looks a bit like a camouflaged blouse but modern "blueberry".

The green & black thing? That's my cunning attempt at a shirt. Plan A was to something like in the picture (below)

The hanging up shirt didn't really work too well, so went with just a plonked down version. Same camo as Willard's tiger stripe trousers.

Blueberry camo would be a monster to paint, also not surprised the USN is binning it, looks designed to make it bloody hard to find an overboard sailor.
