I'll agree with the others here. I particularly like the stowage, makes it looked lived in.

Splendid work on that! Out of curiosity, who was the maker of the LVTP? I’ve had my eye on the Tank Factory one but maybe not if it’s that much hard work.

Thanks guys. Sticking Empress grunts all over it certainly helped polish a t##d...

@ FreakyFenton: seems like any excuse to make bloody sand bags these days...

That's the one.
Looks like this pre pliers and sandpaper:

Not sure why the top engine housing part was missing, as it's shown in the pics on their website.

Ta! So stripey/ corrugated in the middle and top and smooth at the ends? I know sod all about 3D printing but it seems a bit weird.

Still you have shon that with sufficient effort you can make a very nice model from it. Whether I have the patience after having spent days cutting away flash from old plastic kits is another matter.

Not sure if this helps chaps but I have bought a few from the ebay seller below, they do LVTHs too, in 1/50 scale. I found that the sides were really smooth but the top had print lines that I hid with stowage. They do different variants of the 5 too

@ coldm2231: Interesting to see that one has the same lack of engine top cover/housing/exhaust.

Ash, the ones I got do have them. He prints different variants , not sure which ones I ordered now but the seller lists them in the description and you specify when you order.... I'm still after a mine plough variant!

Ash
Is that the Butler's print?
I have their waterline LVtP-5 and that was similar with the print quality.

Thanks coldm2231.

This one came from the Tank Factory (.UK).
Just had a look at both and they appear to be very similar, just a big difference in price: Butler @ £30.80 & Tank Factory @ £13.99 for essentially the same thing.

Sort of finished with the tower, well had enough of prodding it anyway. I found a base that by sheer fluke it just about fits on (20mm vehicle base).

Cheers Tom.

Made a 90 degree corner piece that can join the first two together.

Also did a sort of Camp entrance bit that butts up to the trench pieces either side. Then added a removable gate and barrier , made from off cuts.
The barbed wire is etched brass from Forge World, left over from 40K days...
This one was the only board that warped, but managed to beat it back into submission.

Very nice indeed. One question which color did you use for the sandbags? I thought they are some kind of buff color in reality or am I wrong.
