Ah I see, my mistake, I thought it was just a longer normal barrel. The only silencer I've seen is the chunky one in the Mel Gibson film Attack Force Z, don't even know if that was just made up for the film, but it would be a solution to the barrel problem.

I don't believe I ever saw that movie.

I don’t believe anyone else did and judging by the look on Sam Neill’s face at least some of the cast are grateful for that.

Really awesome stuff! How do you go about painting the face cam paint?

How do you go about painting the face cam paint?

I always paint the skin first, and quite often by the time I get around to the 'men with green faces' part, totally chicken out of adding green paint; as by that stage I quite like the way the faces turned out.
It can be a tad daunting to effectively cover up something you're happy with. That said...
I've tried a few different colours:
If just brown I tend to go with 'German cam. black brown' stripes across the face. Small'ish brush & very thin paint, diagonal lines, little bit at a time as oppossed to one continuous line.
For the green option I've used several different shades (trial & error), current favorite is a broad line of very thin 'German cam. dark green', probably need a couple of coats, try to avoid going too close to the eyes in case it runs it the recess. Then fill in the rest with a very, very thin layer of  'Luftwaffe cam. green', effectively a filter over the skin shades.

For a brighter green try something like 'Uniform greem'

Hope this is some help.

Thanks a lot guys, much appreciated.

Got a few more ideas floating around, just need to get the bits together.

@ Paul: I'm sure you do, but just because I found a picture; the face is from this bloke.

You know the SEALS in Vietnam used G3s and HK33s for a while. Bit of work and either the Eureka Portuguese or the Under Fire Bundeswehr might make interesting conversions.

Thanks, good idea.

I had a go (a while back) at converting an Under Fire Bundeswehr, to see if it would fit in with the Portuguese.

Just chopped off the German equipment (didn't do the yoke) and added some fairly dodgy looking GS pouches & canteens.
He's a little larger than the Eureka figures, but he has the big gun so sort of gets away it.
