Just watched "Muppet Treasure Island" yesterday so I had a slightly different image of blind Pew:

Lovely entry though 8)
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

I'd been wondering where all the pirates had gone.  Seems like they were a much more prominent feature of the last LPL.  Nice job on them.

well done on Blind Pew & friends!

I've only seen one other version and it was the one with Robert Palance:

It was nice but rather child-oriented and not spectacular by any means. I watched it with a friend and afterwards we listened to "Treasure Island" by Running Wild:

As much as I like Theoden's gang, I have to admit, I am more partial to Blind Pew and his friends!! Very nicely done. They just brought back memories of Disney's Treasure Island and Pirate's of the Carribean....
Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!

Thanks for your comments. Blind Pew is one of my favourite villains. I painted him after watching a Treasure Island movie from the 60s or 70s. Itīs a really good story. The picture depicts one of the opening scenes when Pew and his gang have searched the Inn "Admiral Benbow" looking for Billy Bones treasure map. What old Pew donīt know is that he will be deserted by his men and killed in a few minutes by Supervisor Dance and his mounted posse. But Black Dog (the pirate in black dress behind him) will continue to do mischief...
