I made a spaceship

Latest bit of weird space stuff on the blog, combining my fondness for the Dropfleet Commander station kit, some nostalgia for Battlefleet Gothic, and a healthy disregard for GW canonical fluff.  Behold, the Anethema Imperialis, temporally-displaced AI warship from the Age of Strife.

And yes, I might have been inspired by the counter art on the old SPI boardgame Worldkiller.  How's that for obscure motivation?  Is there a muse of obscurity?  There is, but no one knows who she is.  :)

I don't do that scale but I like that as some sort of 28mm engine or warp drive, maybe with the vanes replaced by piping...

It's got a scale?  News to me.  :)

The kit in general is a parts gold mine for all sorts of things, though.  If you're looking to bulk out your bits box with all sorts of odd machine parts, antenna, gun turrets, and fuel tanks it's a good buy even if you never actually need a space station as such.
