Captain Harlock's Hoplites
« on: June 14, 2019, 02:54:12 PM »
This time for my third sculpting project we are going to travel to Ancient Greece. All those new greek themed rules were too inspiring, so I dropped anything and decided to take a very big step forward. A big step because a theme like that means alot of exposed body parts and extra attention to anatomy. I intend to make some more, with varient armour and helmet options. This first one features a muscled thorax and a high crest. Measures 32 mm to the top of his head and fits perfectly in size and proportions with the new Footsore Mortal Gods minis.
The mini was sculpted mainly in beesputty and some small details in procreate, greenstuff and plasticard. I learned alot through this process and generally had  great fun. I hope that the next ones will improve.

I will follow up with some wip pics in a next post.

Hi Thanks for the vote of confidence  :)
Im planning to scult at least 2 more and then I will get a casting quote from a local casting company. They cast resin figures and scale models for many well known model companies so the quality of the end product is unquestionable. Once I get a price and if people here are interested I will let you know.
Cheers  :)
