Exactly! You have been warned....

I‘d put some bones down around it but the missus would not approve, it being her terrain piece and all.

The ivy/creepers look great. They really add a lot of character to the tree. How were they made?

My wife first tried Ziterdes wild vines... which we won as part of an auction awhile ago.

She was not satisfied with the result, so when I more recently won some Army Painter poison ivy she added that on top, giving a nice effect I think.

Yeah the layering really adds to it, I think if it was just a uniform style & colour it wouldn't look quite as natural so she's done a great job I think.

Thanks for the links! It looks like Ziterdes has quite a selection of vegetation details.

I like Ziterdes... and I managed to finish some more Orcs.

Great Orcs and really like your hobbits! Never painted the fellowship but it's definitely on the to do list.

Great looking orcs! The leather on the shields is really improved now, did it just take a bit of a wash and a highlight or did you start again from scratch?

Love the extra details like the bag of bones and dead rodent. The little details really make a huge difference to me and help bring me into the world. You have a good eye for the little things that bring a scene to life, especially the little animals and mushrooms in some of your terrain pieces.

Inspiring stuff!

Thanks for the kind words. Positive feedback motivates!

The leather on the shields were improved with just wash and dry brush... thankfully no need to start over.

My eye sight is not what it used to be but I am all about the attention to detail. With the intent of course to encourage a visual narrative.

I managed to finish some more terrain and a couple of Skinks... not sure if they will be used for our Middle Earth project or our Pirates of Ghost Archipelago project.

As always feedback, advice and suggestions are welcome. I have noticed many of my questions have gone unanswered and I am wondering if I have broken some forum etiquette rule or social convention.

Great looking terrain, where are those steps going to lead to?

Not sure about etiquette or social convention, I'm new here ...

I am not sure about the steps. They came in a big box of bits I won on eBay. Maybe they will end up as part of a bigger terrain piece, a hill needing steps to a temple? Or maybe a tower with an elevated front door that has a drawbridge coming down to those stairs? I have the top portion of a square Ziterdes tower, I just need the main tower bit.  One of the challenges of hunting EBay deals is making do with the odds and ends that you end up winning.

What I am thinking is like the gate in the Warlord with Charlton Heston.

Nice touch ups - the eyes on the skinks are effective.

Not sure what your unanswered questions are.

And love the hairstyles in the Tower Siege clip. And the torch to the face.
