Fantasy swashbuckling project in 1/72 scale
« on: August 11, 2019, 01:50:32 AM »
I'm working on a fantasy-historical project set in the 17th century Prague during the reign of Rudolph II. Think of it as a more "historical" version of Mordheim (and maybe Malifaux), which draws most of its inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's hussite trilogy and Hammer's folk horror movies.

I'm planning few factions like cabbalists, alchemists, Matthias' spies (future emperor), utracvists, diabolists etc. (historical minis for this project are in other thread: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=116677.0 )
Apart from human factions there'll be few non-human ones like werewolves, frogmen, beastmen.

Now I'd like to show you my frogmen

Regards,
Tom

Very cool project. Great idea using smaller scale miniatures for diminutive frogmen.

Have you seen the game Anno Domini 1666? It is set in Vienna in 1666, but could still at a minimum provide lots of great miniatures for your project when it hits retail. It also includes fantasy elements like alchemy, etc.

Thank you :).

I do know AD1666, I'm waiting for my kickstarter pledge :). I cannot source minis from that game because my project is in1/72 scale :).  Also my project is set in the early 17th century, which in terms of fashion differed much from the latter half.
