As part of my (failed  :-[) attempt to win the Potato cup,
I dug out my motley collection of letters. With a notion to
make a sign (for my Chop Shop entry).
Realizing I had too many & not enough vowels I decided to
use up a lot of them.
Sitting on the work bench was a discarded garden Gnome.
Putting these together with my weird mind and...
something to add to my Zombie fairground, a childrens' play area.
It will break up lines of sight & give some bits of cover.

Finding a small bag in the Piles of Interesting Sundry Stuff (PISS ?  lol)
I, of course, looked inside. It was a string of defunct garden lights.
Well, I had to do... something with them, didn't I  ??? ??? ???

Here we have some piles of discarded...fuel rods? With a few old clamps too.

Ooh the LED light pipe things look very good. Perfect scatter terrain! They look like some kind of important engineering device to be saved and used in the future.

Already thought of a few ideas.
1) Desperate for fuel, any fuel! The players try & draw the remaining dregs from these spent rods.
2) If the small charges, the players have, can be placed in & amongst the fuel rods...the BANG would be MUCH bigger.
3) Rad-Ants just LOVE these rods. Beware anyone messing with/near the rods.
4) The chip is hidden amongst the rods, but which pile? Interference stops players using scanners.
5) Let the players believe there really is something special with these rods (there ain't)
6) The rods leak fumes, which cause players to trip. Bring on any weird beasties you want & watch the panic when
     no matter how many shots the players take, they can't stop the beasts.

Looks like they could be fireworks too, or rockets to fire

Ooooh!  Bigger BANGS !!!!  I like it. ;D

Today I have three Hunter-Killer Drones.

In repairing the Red Spheres I made control stands for each (see previous pictures).
Those I made mainly out of the bottoms of three Raw Plugs.
The Drones are mainly made from the tops. :D

Continuing the Star Wars vibe, a solar powered liquid pump.
I have no idea what the liquid is, but I would not drink it. :D

Oh that's gross  :o

Very nice and so HSE compliant - I mean no one at all is going to get pushed over the edge or thrown in are they...

The 3D of the water works well - how did you create the layers?

I did some murky ponds a few years ago and used half pearls (designed for paper craft and known as embellishments) to shape bubbles on the surface. Only drawback was even the clear ones looked cloudy due tot he glue on the flat surface so I just painted over them and the water got a green tint close to the paint colour.

I use lids of old plastic pots for mixing paint. Every so often I get a 'new' lid.
I have to do something with the old one. ;)
On a similar note, I thin down any left over paint & give something on the workbench
a 'wash'. You can get some very nice effects that way.

Vodkafan (James) handed me a resin cast of a bit of ancient (temple?) ruin.
'Make something out of that' he challenged me.
Last week he gave me some small brightly coloured pillars, so I set to work.

Ingredients:-
The resin cast, 3 of the pillars, some off-cuts of blue foam, a dash of Modge-Podge,
two CDs, paint & flock.

711 = the initial set up.
712 = A coating of Modge-Podge
713 = Undercoat
715 = Inking in the base flag-stones
717,719 & 720 = The finished article.
