Philias Frog
« on: 02 July 2009, 10:14:32 PM »

I am still working on the forces of Captain X. Though I have found the time to starte a minor villian in the hunt for unobtanium. His alias is Philias Frog and right now I am getting some help in finding his real name.

You can find WIP-pictures and the beginning of his background here, (text in danish):

Very nice!

Alas, my Danish is extremely poor and could not find out the make of this figure.
Also the lady [indian or arabian] which presumably is inspired by Auda of the "round the world in 80 days" is a lovely miniature. Who makes her?

Thx, it's the Baron Frankenstein set from Westwind Production. I think she's supposed to be caucasian but it could be fun to paint her indian...

Thanks both.
Although I have lots of figures from them I do not have this particular pack.

It is interesting for a couple of personalities!

By majority vote Philias Frog is now also known by his true name Siegfried von Spunkenhand.

And his girlfriend adventuress is now finished. I've had some comments, that the dear Siegfried looks like a real wanker, and continued that into a Euro-trash couple in perfect Queen of Hearts style.

Siegfried will control a force build as a handler army.

Handlers.

Troops.

Mr. Jones.

Finally painted two of the handlers. I'm way behind the others in my quest for unobtanium but my forces are growing. ;)

Spunkenhand can create huge frogs but their minds are still very basic. The handlers will act like officers helping the frogs follow some basic instructions - among them staying on the battlefield.

When finished Mr. Jones will have his own special group of failed human eksperiments.

I'm not sure if the Gaslight rules can handle it but it looks as if I'm building a close combat army.

They can but you'll need about twice as many troops as your opponent otherwise you'll just get gunned down.

D'oh - well the army was never planned to be that big anyway...

Experiment 263. If you want to stop a guy like this you'll need the chain and ball!

One more of the handlers. He hasn't got a full name yet, but he talks in a mix of words from all over the world. When cursing he especially uses a mix of spanish and portuguese. I was thinking of el Something...

He is armed with a pumpgun but hopefully we can pretend it's somekind of great breachloading singleshot elefantgun/cannon.
