I like them, but something bothers me. The one on the right apears to have nipples.  o_o And you call them spawn, so one asumes they spawn, rather then breed.

Bizaza have evolved a much longer juvenile development period for their massive brains (than a very primitive frog genus) and hence are weaned by both male and female members of the species until the age of 24 if that helps you.

Nice save!

I do have a weakness for mesoamerican frog people, and these are jolly good examples.

So, what is the very mammalian looking belly-button for?  ;D  >:D

Is it for keeping the salt in whilst eating chips (UK style) in bed?

Edit: Forgot to say - great sculpts by-the-way

Tempting. I may have to check my finances closer to the start date.
I'm not a mercenary. Killing's more of a hobby for me.

Belly piercings I guess. ;)

The Bizaza have a mamalian style life cycle where the young take a long time to develop their big brains.  "Strong Spawn" is a human nomenclature rooted in species ignorance ;).

Wish I had some of those guys to check.  I suspect they will not look out of place shoulder to shoulder. :)

I'm going to be the bad guy and say I don't really like them. The execution is pretty good - the surfaces and details are cleanly sculpted and finely worked (both you and your wife have talent); but I think the design leans too much on decades-old Grandma Wendy minis, instead of doing it's own thing, or going back to the roots, or whatever, to any big or small degree. As a result, to be honest, I think the biggest resemblance these have to frogs is the colour of the putty.

"the design leans too much on decades-old Grandma Wendy minis"

for those with existing collections of Grandma Wendy's frog people this is very much a selling point.

Oh and Otto, do any of your spawn happen to be unarmoured and using blow pipes?

Will that be what they say for frog-people minis in another thirty years' time?  :P

I'm pretty sure there are enough old collections and nostalgia about to make this KS successful. I just wouldn't mind if more of that success was for other reasons, too.
