If you don't mind spending a touch more they fit well (with some clipping) into Greenlight vehicles, which are true 1/64 - loads of hotwheels are a touch seats are a touch slender (the classic scale vs size thing)
So are Hot Wheels 1/72 then? 20mm models = 1/64?
Sadly, Hot Wheels have no consistent scale. The cars are made to fit the Blister. Some work very well with 1/72, others with 15mm or 1/100. The Northstar models do fit into the slightly larger Dark Future cars originally made by GW (and now sold for a fortune at eBay).
Are these the greenlight cars the minis fit? They look to be 1:64. I wonder if they’re sold locally.http://www.greenlighttoys.com/index.php?id=469
Sadly they do go for a mint. A few sprues of car parts to assemble at the right scale would be great, but I bet Hot Wheels being ‘close enough’ to this scale would prevent any decent profit?
I’m sorry, I meant ‘car parts’ as in, can build a complete car from them. The classic Dark Future cars came on plastic sprues way back in the day. An Oathmark unit sized box that contained like 12-16 cars with 4-6 car types in plastic would be awesome. Far more expensive than a few Hot Wheels though.
Has anyone here actually used greenlight vehicles? How easy are they to take apart to put figs in?
