With a handle like Raglan it's only proper you leapt into the Crimea madness eventually.

Crackin' good work and it's really got some momentum behind it. Are you building for a particular engagement or making a total campaign army? Are you considering doing both sides?

There are still plenty of gaps in the ranges available. I hope that with your efforts and others it might justify and inspire further expansion of the range for Great War Miniatures to include some French Chasseurs de Afrique or some turks. Aly does truly beautiful sculpts.

This is very inspirational work, but I have to say I'm confused by the presence of the "95th Rifles" in a thread on the Crimean War, as that regiment was disbanded shortly after the end of the Napoleonic Wars, and formed the basis of the new Rifle Brigade, which indeed took part in the Crimean War, and is presumably what is represented here. The new 95th Regt. which also served in the Crimea, was not a rifle regiment.

P.S. It occurs to me that this is a mistake the original Lord Raglan might well have made, understandably in view of his advanced years, along with referring to the Russians as French. There's nothing wrong with getting into character.

I was clearly mistaken about you being in character. Raglan didn't call people buddy, to the best of my knowledge.

Nice Sutherland. When doing socks was red or white your first colour used.
I’ve hated painting socks finished Cameron, just started Black Watch.
