Critter or Tribble type thingies for Bloodbowl?
« on: July 11, 2009, 05:09:22 PM »
Hello all,

I've been trying to twist the arms of one of my friends into joining a bloodbowl league I am part of and he's tempted by the idea of an Ogre team and been looking for models as a result.

He's being tempted by the idea of using yetis as ogres, but is still looking for something to be the snotlings. My first thought was something like the the Space Munchkins from the Wargames Supply Dump, but I wondered if any of you fine gentlemen might have seen anything else that might match the description of critter meets tribble that might be suitable?

Thanks for the suggestion, but we'd already had a look there and nothing "spoke" to him.

Another idea he came up with as well as furry balls of fury, was the idea of mini snowmen. Now I've been able to track down some 28mm snowmen, but nothing smaller. Any ideas there either to help the household lead mountain grow? :D

Do they still sell those little "Gonk" thingies that used to be popular?

They might work if given a trim and sprayed with something to stiffen the fur.

Hum...hareballs?

Dolmot's got a great idea there. I knew I could remember something along those lines. Thanks for the reminder. And yes, idea seconded. Sounds/Looks something like what your friend was looking for.

I might have to keep those hareballs secret and get some of those for myself  :-*

Thanks for all the ideas though and feel free to keep them coming, I won't be getting home until tomorrow so he won't be making decisions and placing orders until then.

Tritex games has a good range of fantasy football style stuff

http://www.tritex-games.co.uk

although, since they re designed their site, you have to comb through it by company rather than by genre, making it a bit long winded.

Let me second the idea of those hareballs.
When you mentioned them, I immediately thought it was a great idea.
Nice one!
Cheers,
Ben.

He's gone with the Hareballs and I've ordered some as well to be mascots for my Bloodbowl Bunnies.

I also also stumbled across some minis on Tritex for my second Bloodbowl team as well. So it's a thanks from him and a thanks from me. lol

The ones that the postman tried to whilst I was out so now I have to wait until Saturday to get my hands on them :'(

Or less cryptically the Rolljordan Horned Frogs:

And yes, I bought the coach as well.
