I ran Atomic Cafe 1957 on Saturday night at Historicon. The game went really well and the space I had for 9 players quickly swelled to 14 with at least half a dozen spectators at any one time.
There was mayhem and explosions, President for Life Nixon and Buddy Holly. The players had a great time. I have a couple of pictures from the game to share. I'll also be posting some more close shots of the new miniatures over on the Brigade Games forum later this week.

So, here we go, three photos from the game.
The board set up. I apologize for the unpretty board set up. I'm still working on getting a good board together for demo games of Atomic Cafe. So I still have to go with the cloth and terrain on top. I did try and keep a unified look this time. The scenario was that President for Life Nixon's motorcade broke down in New Mexico on his way to Yorba Linda California. An attack by numerous factions forced him to hold up in the center building and wait to be "rescued" by one of them. Of course, the player who ran Nixon waited to see who looked like they would be the strongest at the end before choosing to help anyone.
Here are three of Nixon's security detail along with the man himself in the background.
Here we see one of the greaser gang squads slipping around the corner of a building. In the end, it proved to be the greaser gangs that held the upper hand. Having lost only two of their brutes and one gang member, they were in the best shape.
ON a final note, we sold through nearly all the pre-release booklets for the main book. There are only about 8 left. I'm not sure what Lon is going to do with them, but if you hop over to the Brigade forum and throw your name into the ring you may get the chance to get a copy. The booklet is $5 and includes a coupon for $5 off the rulebook when it is released later this year.
