Rats
« on: July 21, 2009, 05:30:24 PM »
I wanted some more undead animals for my zombie game.

Brian Keene's novels have a plethera of animals as threats (including undead squirrels).

Equally they could just be very hungry rats, rather than actual undead, and so fit in with a post-apocalypse game).

The following rats are from Pardulon (not actually in their shop at the moment, but if you email Jens (Zafarelli on LAF), i'm sure he will get some for you).

Hasslefree's Kendra for a size comparison.  The circular base that i've stuck them on is c11cm in diameter.

The rats come in a 5 different bases to a pack (this base uses part of 2 packs).  Pardulon also do some slightly larger, individually based rats (one of which i've stuck on the oil drum...hmmm...forgot to dry brush it - whoops!)

Ruleswise, i'm going to treat them similar to a zombie horde base - relatively slow moving, but unstoppable by small arms fire, and will eat anything that they come into base to base contact with!

Swarms are always harder to defend against than humanoid zeds. I'd run far and fast away from your rats!

Still... it's a very cool miniature to put on the gaming table!!

Is there going to be a Willard type game in the near future?

The bigger fat rat on the drum almost looks like a leader type ;)  lol

What lovely rats. How many do you get in a pack?

One fell swoop with a flamer feeds a whole gang of marauders too.

I like how they're not in round clumps. Cool, good job, and thanks for sharing with us.

One of each of 5 different bases (all of which are shown in the picture above - have actually used 8 bases, so the picture above is one and a half packs).  Well sculpted, and extremely good value.
