WIP Temple for Frostgrave
« on: March 08, 2020, 01:36:32 PM »
In the process of building a temple for Frostgrave.  Still very much WIP.  The white basin will be painted prior to adding resin.

Materials are foamex, dowelling, solder for the detailing on the pillar and some resin details. I also tried out some of the Green Stiff World Elvish and Dwarfish Ruins.

They are tiny and take a bit of effort to get in place.

I was quite happy with the results.

I have pre made enough pillars and have enough materials to make another identical temple.
There are more images on my blog if you are interested.

Wow, where did you purchase the runes.  That is a great idea.

Thanks for the comps all.
And everyone loves skulls right? :)

Funny enough I am not a real fan of them.  I have a hard time visualizing anything magical to put into the magical city.  The skull plates were leftovers from another project so I fit them in.

Now you don’t have to do this ( :) ) but I remember somebody drilled all of the eyes out and put some red led lights behind a skull panel once, that looked pretty magical

They're from Greenstuffworld. Just picked up a set, they're really nice. All types are here.

They also crank out lawsuits to shut down competitors and steal ideas and then use IP protection to shut down the original developers

Your right. I do not have to do that.   ;)  It would drive me nuts.

Until this post I have not heard a peep about this.  I will look into it and make a decision.

Well worth the time and effort too fiddly for me would probably inhale most of those runes before they got anywhere near the model  lol

They are fiddly to be sure.  The problem with them is exhaling.  The amount of times I either blew all the letters off my part or bumped the work surface and the letters went flying.  I am done with them for the time being as I finished the second temple top and now am working on the base.
Edit
Second temple built.
