It’s okay, my club mates are megalomaniacs, so I’m a long way off having too much stuff.   lol

That scenario sounds great.  I need to get some partisan figures.  I was thinking a unit or two of Czechs Would be useful too.  We can do really long tables, which is great for having the supply lines on table.

C'mon Trev you should show them the BIG table

I'm looking forward to seeing that Roger!

lol  I think this is the most ridiculous table we have done so far.  We have now added another room off to the right of that shot, which has four more 6x4 tables that could possibly be joined on.  We made all the tables the same height deliberately, so we could join them up like this.

Next up is a Paddle Steamer.  I've made a start but not much progress so far.

I need some crew for the paddle steamer, especially a couple of standing gunners for the maxims on the upper deck.  I suppose I could use sailors from the Perry Sudan range or the Pulp British Navy figures.  Naval uniforms are all pretty close in style.  Brigade Games do some nice merchant seamen firing a maxim but they don't look very Russian.  I'm thinking I could kit-bash something but I'm drawing a blank on plastic models to use as a base.  Tiger miniatures do some metal Bulgarian machine gunners that might pass as Russians.  They're kneeling but I could probably get some alternative legs to fit them.  I think the Perryand Tiger miniatures are a bit smaller than the Copplestones I have but I doubt it would matter.  Pulp I think are larger but I don't own any.  Anyone got any thoughts or suggestions?

Take a look at the Soviet Naval Infantry during the Second World War. The differences in uniform are minimal.

Good work on the paddle steamer!

Askari Minis make armed Russian sailors and generic crew types (from a slightly earlier period but in the RCW I suspect you have some leeway?).

Armed Russian Sailors...

Some of the generic crewmen...

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the thoughts chaps.  I have ordered some of the Pulp and Copplestone sailors to try converting.  If that fails I'll look at the other alternatives more.  Also I have a few more Cossacks, infantry and artillery on the way from Northstar.  I have a heavy gun for the Reds that can use the spare gun crew figures and my sadly small, but lovely, order from Studio Siberia has arrived.  Just a few character figures for now but I'll want more later.  Especially if I do some winter themed units.

Those Warlord Bolt Action Soviet Naval Infantry are nice.  Too many SMGs but the MG could be converted to a Lewis and the riflemen have the bullet bandoliers so iconic of the revolution.  I'll get some of those to add to my Red Sailors.  Some of the Warlord and Crusader Partisans could be useful later too.

I've now made the guns for the Steamer.
