....after many years of drifting from project to project to whatever next caught my eye along came Mortal Gods...two things happened simultaneously...it enabled me to immerse myself in a subject that I knew nothing about plus gave me an excuse to have a go at the Victrix plastics that had caught my eye at Salute....

Roll on a few months and I had become completely fascinated by the history and had achieved an all time first - everything that came in the box is now painted !

Here are the first units....first up the Slingers and the Peltasts

Thanks for the kind words chaps, with no work for the foreseeable future they count for a lot

@ 1000ft....my technique? Enjoy the process rather than rush to get finished

@ Hu Rhu....flesh tones ? Hmm....bit of a work in progress as am constantly experimenting but happy to share ...in this case:

(1) base coat Vallejo Burnt Umber (2) Thinned down Foundry Mediterranean Flesh 125 A (3) Glaze of Mediterranean Flesh A on all but deepest creases (4) Pock out higher areas with 50/50 glaze of Mediterranean Flesh A & B (5) Wash of P3 Flesh tone (6) Pick out higher areas in Med Flesh B (7) Highlight 50/50 Med Flesh B & C
