Could we have the list of what’s already been used, just so there’s no confusion.

This will be rhetorical; I don't think the BSC competition needs rejigging,it's lack of resonse from forum members, I think about 1% vote more or less.
Social media is largely to blame,Facebook et cetera.
And I think, perhaps the virus may have knocked things on the head, anyway.
My suggestion for a theme is 'engine',I think historical accuracy to scale too difficult, and I'd only end up doi g Stonehenge...

I agree with Blackwolf regarding "Historical Accuracy to Scale" may be a bit challenging especially as this primarily about gaming which involves sausage fingered club hands moving stuff around. :D

Perhaps we could get a piece of the banner ad when the contest is running to bring it to the members attention. I think it should be done for the Lead Painters League too; I only vote in that if I happen to notice someone is posting there.

There seem to be two broad types of suggestions:
Thematic - based on an object or adjective (plants, noise)
Pragmatic (for want of better word) - based on specific objects or design/display requirements (computer fan, 2' x 2' board)

Both can be subdivided into subsections, for example, thematic can be based on a noun or adjective; whilst the pragmatic are based on (as my description suggests) objects converted to modelling use, or requirements resulting from display or gaming priorities.

Some could fit both - you can have plants as a theme, or use its of plants.

Why I'm going on about this I have no idea. I think I've been working on a research project on pottery in which everything gets clustered for too long...

It's just the way it is. I look at LPL, BSC and the Painting Clubs as a way to *create* interest for the Forum, not to demand it.

I'll  add engine to the list.

Right. I thought you meant the number of rounds didn't need adjusting. I think the voting period should be shortened.

I totally enjoy reading and watching the build something contest.  I tried this year to comment more often on the numerous threads to let people know how interesting and fun their builds were.  Actually building something remains really unlikely.  lol

I wonder... Do we have anyone well versed in grafic design who could take it upon him och herself to create a potato cup icon with respective season (BSC2019,BSC2018,BSC2017,BSC2015,BSC3, BSC2,BSC1) super imposed? To let the respective winner put in their respective "bar of honor"...

Firstlym, no, I don not have the skills. Secondly, what's a "Bar of Honour"?

I did the LPL ones, I can do this for the forum too, just need to know what you want. Syrinx nudged me ;)
