Workin' on a chain gang

Hey folks, I'm using the isolation time to get started on a project that's been on my mind for a while. To that end, I'm looking for miniatures that would suit members of a chain gang:



28mm, ideally from the UK or Europe (American Shipping and all that), and if they're easily convertible to carry weapons, that'd be great.

Hmmn, a good puzzle.  I think your best bet would be to use railroad workers, Knuckleduster and Brigade both have them.  Also take a look at model railroad figures.

It is a challenge.  I've been 'cogitating' for a bit about doing the same in 15/18 mm for the American Old West.  No solution yet but I shall watch your efforts for inspiration.

Hmm, thanks for the ideas, but probably nothing I'll be using in those options.

It has got me thinking though, the shirt/jacket/trousers combination is pretty straightforward, there's probably a more straightforward option I'm overlooking.

Time to dive through some pulp/gangster/WWI ranges and see what I can come up with.
